Frequently Asked Questions

Why should we hire a professional landscape company, instead of working on our property ourselves?

Landscape professionals at Go Green Landscaping take every detail into account about your property specifically and incorporate it from the initial drawing, to the construction and completion of each project. It is important to understand things like what zone your property is in and what exposure your home receives. Various types of plant material thrive in particular soil conditions that vary across the GTA, while others are sensitive to the amount of sun, wind or even water they receive. At Go Green Landscaping, every measure is taken to ensure the fullest potential of your property.

Does Go Green Landscaping provide a warranty on their work?

In the unlikely circumstance that plant material does not survive through its first season or interlocking stones shift from its installed position, Go Green Landscaping offers a full one year warranty on all of their work including labour, so your landscape project is guaranteed to look just as beautiful down the road as it did the day of its initial completion.

What are the differences between natural stone and man-made stone products?

To a large extent, it comes down to personal taste. While the majority of our clients prefer the classic look of natural armour or weathered stone, others prefer how man-made stone products allow for projects such as retaining walls and steps to maintain clean, exact lines. However, using a combination of both types of stones can also create a unique and equally beautiful result.

What's the difference between hardscape and softscape?

The terms hardscape and softscape refer to essentially the heavier and lighter landscape materials respectively. It mainly refers directly to the rock, stone and flagstone, being the hardscape, and conversely, to the shrubbery, trees, soil and grass, as the softscape. For example, Go Green may complete the hardscape phase of the said project first, that being an interlocked driveway or flagstone walkway, then complete the job by planting the trees, shrubs and grass, better known as the softscape.

What's the difference between hardscape and softscape? Can Go Green Landscaping do work for me if I have just a small garden at home, or a comparatively large office building?

Absolutely. Go Green has the expertise and full line of equipment to adapt to smaller, residential projects, and larger commercial ones. We have transformed many limited spaced backyards into very comfortable and visually stunning sanctuaries. If your place of business needs a freshening up or enhancement of its front entrance or property, Go Green Landscaping can do that for you, while always remembering the necessity of functionality and accessibility.

Is Go Green Landscaping willing to work around existing or newly- installed pools, or adding poolside water features?

Yes, Go Green Landscaping has a great deal of experience working around both existing and newly-installed pools. Many of our projects have benefited from the inclusion of pools, as we create elegant walkways designed to compliment your pool built from either interlocked stones, flagstone, or a combination of both. Go Green also offers water features of varying sizes. For instance, a unique compilation of natural, hand selected stone can be constructed to create a running waterfall directly into your pool.
